Wallace “Wally” J. Gillespie , age 57 of Pisek, ND passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at his home.
Wallace J. Gillespie was born October 15, 1962 in Park River, ND, the son of Vernon and Virginia (Kinney) Gillespie. He was raised in the Pisek area. He attended Fordville Public Schools and graduated the Class of 1980. He immediately began farming with his father. Wallace worked for Marvin Windows in the past and was a current employee of LM Wind Power in Grand Forks. Wallace loved farming and raising cattle on the family farm. When he wasn’t farming or working, he was cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins.
Wallace is survived by his father; Vernon Gillespie, Pisek, ND; siblings: Patricia Olson, Edinburg, ND, Kathleen (Angela Veiszer) Fleming, Minot, ND, James (Rose) Gillespie, West Fargo, ND, Thomas (Josefina Martinez) Gillespie, Grafton, ND, and Bradley (Lonna Miller) Gillespie, New Effington, SD; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia, infant brother, and brother in law: William Olson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Visitation will be Friday, November 15 from 5-7 P.M. followed by a 7:00 P.M. prayer service at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery of Park River.
