Agnes was born on February 5, 1930 in the Anamoose area, the daughter of Joseph and Lena K.(Koble) Hager. Agnes attended country school through the eighth grade, and then helped on the farm.
Agnes was united in marriage to Frank Thomas Jr. on Octorber 11, 1949. The couple lived and farmed around the Esmond area. Agnes cooked at Ann’s Café in Esmond. In 1969 they moved to Devils Lake where Agnes worked as a cook in several nursing homes and restaurants. She retired in 2007. Agnes enjoyed cooking and baking, sewing, playing cards, and visiting her family. In the summer she especially loved being at her son Alvins’ farm place.
Agnes was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, St Rita’s Circle, and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Agnes is survived by her sons Alvin Thomas of Devils Lake, Larry Thomas of Jamestown, and Ronald Thomas of Webster. Her grandchildren Dawn Olson, Lori Johanson, Angie (Paul )Wasson, Darin Thomas, Cheri(Perrin) Job, Kari Thomas, Trista (Dusten) Ebensteiner, Jason Christenson, Aaron Christenson, and Michael Christenson. Several great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Brother Linus (Gladys) Hager, and sister-in-law Bergetta Hager.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, a daughter in infancy, grandson Dale Thomas, brothers Emanuel Hager and Christ Hager, and daughter in-law Rita Thomas.
