
From a young age, Alexander was deeply involved in community service, often volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, earning his Eagle Scout rank. His mechanical inclination and excellence in science and mathematics enabled him to assist many, from tutoring peers to aiding strangers with car troubles. His generosity extended beyond academics and roadside assistance; he was a true helper, always putting the needs of others first.
Alexander's adventurous spirit was evident in his love for climbing, hiking, biking, running, and kayaking. He was skilled in car maintenance and autocross and enjoyed cooking and reading. From an early age, he was musically gifted and played both clarinet and violin in numerous bands and orchestras.
He is survived by his father, Joseph Fryer; mother, Tamara Fryer; sister, Madeline Fryer; grandparents, Frank Elias and Carolyn Elias, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Fryer and Leonette Fryer, and aunt, Dianne Hildebrand.
The funeral and burial will take place at Graysville Church in Manitoba, Canada, on Friday, August 2, 2024. He will be laid to rest in the Canadian countryside, surrounded by family and friends. A celebration of life will be held in Tallahassee, Florida, July 27, 2024 at his favorite climbing gym. An additional celebration of life will be held in New Orleans, place and date to be determined.
His life was a testament to his fervor for both adventure, learning, and helping others. In his constant pursuit of self-betterment, he leaves this world a greater place. From teaching thermodynamics to helping strangers with car troubles, Alexander was always seeking to improve the lives of those around him. He was a teacher, helper, leader, and adventurer. We will remember him as a beacon of light.
