Alice J. Johnson, age 88 of Crystal, North Dakota passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.
Alice J. Ganyo was born June 7, 1936 in Grafton, North Dakota, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Oline (Johnson) Ganyo. Alice was baptized and confirmed at the Grafton Lutheran Church. She attended and graduated from Grafton High School. She began working as a Telephone Operator for Northwestern Bell and worked other various jobs in the community. Alice made her home in Crystal until the time of her death.
She was a member Crystal United Methodist Church, the Crystal Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Valley School Board. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, baking, gardening and traveling.
Alice is survived by her son, Craig (Carla) Johnson, Cedar Creek, TX; sisters: Carol Dinkel, Crystal, ND; Sandy Ganyo, Crystal, ND; sister-in-law, Linda Ganyo, Minneapolis, MN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Harold (Doris) Ganyo and David Ganyo and brother-in-law David Dinkel.
