In loving memory of Anna Friesen; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
On May 11th she went in for severe abdominal pain at boundary trails, there they ran test to determine the source of the pain. It was discovered she had blood clots in her spleen. The doctors attempted to determine why her pain was so great but were unable to. The next morning, she was transferred to HSC in Winnipeg where things only continued to go downhill. She was becoming even more critically ill, so they decided their last option was to do a high risk surgery to see if they could do anything to save her. Within an hour we got the dreaded news that she would not make it. We all rushed to her side to say our goodbyes and sing and pray over her as she took her final breaths.
She leaves behind to mourn; her husband, Jacob; her son Jake and wife Lindy and their children; daughter Anna and husband Rick and their children; her son Ben and wife Rosy and their daughter; her son Johnny and wife Claudia and their children; her daughter Lisa and husband Pancho and their children; her son Abram and wife Jessica; her son Peter and wife Tina; her son Isaak and wife Kayla and their son; her daughter Halena and husband Jacob; her son David and girlfriend Finnley; her daughter Eva; and her sons Aaron and William; along with many more family, friends, and loved ones.
Mom was the heart of our family, she was a great example of sacrificial love, she was dependable and devoted... she worried too much but it all added to her gentleness and wanting to do what was best. No matter how tired she was she would always get up and serve her husband, her children and grandchildren.
Mom showed us, that children are truly such a blessing. In this hard time, we have so many to lean on. Her kitchen was where we would spend the majority of the day, making food and then talking about our days/weeks and about faith. Those weekly visits would lift our spirits, and we were always looking forward to the next visit.
We are left with a big hole in our lives.
She is enveloped in the Lord’s love and knowing that brings us such comfort.
