Arnold had been living in the Tabor Home for five years and wanted to have his final days in Room 502 at Tabor Home. His wishes were honored. Although he had been slowing down in health, it was a short encounter with Covid that ended his life.
On Sept. 20, Arnold and Tiny celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary (October 6, 1949) with the few Deere's that are left! His two nephews, Ray and Jeff travelled in from Calgary to make the day complete. Of course, Mary Brown Chicken was on the menu...Dad wouldn't accept any other chicken!! Good for you Dad!
Arnold leaves Tiny behind for the first time in 75 years
They enjoyed a long, beautiful life together farming, fishing, camping, curling and enjoying their many strong friendships. Left to mourn his passing is his son Gordon, wife Lynn. daughter Gail, husband Dave, grandson Brent, wife Jolene with great granddaughter Shelby and granddaughter Kari.
He also had three very special bonus grandchildren, Bentley, Taylah and Kyelynn.
There are absolutely no words to express the gratitude we have for the staff at Tabor Home. You have all become part of our family and I hope that never changes.
We are missing you Dad. Mom is lost without you. Praying that God calls her home soon so that you can reunite in Heaven.
There will not be a formal service as per Arnold's wishes.
