Brian Albert Trickett was born on Nov 2, 1941 the second child of Phyllis and Thomas Trickett. He was born and raised in Eden, MB and did typical “boy” things with his brother Ron and friends and followed his dad everywhere.
He met the love of his life, Dorothy Klassen and they soon got married and started raising a family of five.
He had a passion for hunting which he passed on to his sons Dwayne and Philip. He worked in construction for many years and enjoyed working on his vehicles with his boys. Then he worked for Esso and Shell in the bulk fuel division where he later retired.
He enjoyed spending time at their cottage at Winnipeg Beach and entertaining their kids and grandkids. Fishing was a must if you went there.
In 2008 they made a difficult decision to leave Winnipeg and sell the cottage and enjoy small town living in Sperling. In 2009 mom discovered she had cancer and sadly passed away in May of 2010. Dad stayed in Sperling for another year and then decided to move into Carmen.
Dad was lucky enough to find love again when he met Linda McDonald, they spent 11 wonderful and happy years together.
Dad was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, parents Thomas and Phyllis Trickett, son in law Robert Ward, mother and father in law Peter and Nettie Klassen, and sister in law Irene Trickett.
He is survived by:
Brother Ron and Marilyn Trickett, Son Kevin and Mellisa Martin (Matt and Christine, Felix and Sawyer) Jim and Angela, daughter Kim Ward (Chris and Jenna Ward, Madison, Jordynn, Kaycee, Alicia and Trevor Becker, Nathan and Jamie Ward, Dexter, Tucker and Piper) son Dwayne and Audry Trickett (Puppy Suzie, Dylan Trickett, Kaitlyn and Blake Reid) son Philip and Shannon Trickett (Nicholas, Marcus Trickett and Kyra).
He is also survived by his love Linda McDonald and their 2 fur babies Popcorn and Peanut. He loved them all dearly.
Brian’s death has left a big void in the hearts of his family and others who knew him.
Brian has loved and is loved by many who will be missed and remembered forever.
Till we meet again.
