[PRIVATE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD]
Born October 9, 1958, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family - just the way she would have wanted it. Bridgette was a proud daughter, sister, auntie, wife, mother, and grandmother - and she wore every one of those titles with love. She loved her family fiercely and made sure everyone knew it.
If you were one of “her people”, you were loved for life. A true people person, Bridgette never met a stranger - and if she did, they wouldn’t stay one for long. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, and whether you were ready for it or not, you could count on her honesty. She believed in telling it like it is, playing fair, and playing to win - especially when it came to cards. She loved playing cards… but she loved winning even more.
Bridgette worked as a certified nurse’s aide, a job she genuinely enjoyed. Caring for others came naturally to her, and she brought compassion, humor, and strength to her work every day. When she wasn’t working or spending time with family, you could find her at a bingo hall, fishing at the cabin, or hunting for treasures at garage sales. She had a special talent for finding a good deal - and she was very proud of it. If there was a bargain to be found, Bridgette would find it.
She is survived by her loving parents, Norman and Bertha; her devoted husband, Abe; her four children; her nine grandchildren; her eight brothers and sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who will all miss her deeply.
She was predeceased by two brothers, one sister, and one niece.
Bridgette leaves behind a legacy of laughter, strength, honesty, and deep unconditional love. Our card games won’t be the same without her - though we all know she would insist she’s still winning somewhere.
She will be missed beyond words and remembered with smiles, stories, and maybe a little friendly competition.
