Carol Evelyn Hanson, née Johnson of Carman, MB. peacefully passed surrounded by family June 12th after a very long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Carol was born on December 10,1941 to Cecille May & John Johnson of Thicket Portage. She completed her high school and her teaching degree in Winnipeg, MB.
Carol and Alex met while both working in Killarney. Then they relocated to Warren, MB.
They resided in McCreary from 1972-2016, where they raised their family and she managed the household. She was active in the Anglican church, enjoyed skiing and golfing and socializing with their many friends. She taught at the local high school for a number of years as well.
Carol & Alex later moved to Carman to be nearer family. She enjoyed meeting the neighbours in Meadowood Estates and especially visits from her friend Betty.
Carol was predeceased by her siblings Johann Paulson, Pauline Paulson and Calvin Johnson.
She is survived by her husband Alex Hanson, their daughters Joanne (James) Gross, Shannon (Darren) Adam, and Jennifer (Chris) Johnston and six grandchildren.
Marina, Sara, Megan, Paige, Lucas and Carlie.
