January 13,1957 to August 2, 2025
Christina was 3rd youngest child born to Charlie and Myra Moore at St. Anthony’s Hospital in The Pas, Manitoba. Christina received her elementary and high school education in The Pas. She worked as a Short Order Cook in numerous restaurants in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta throughout her adult life. She spent the last years of her life in Carman with her husband Kevin. Christina and Kevin enjoyed attending church at the Carman Pentecostal Church. As an adult Christina was diagnosed with Lupus and despite the pain she lived with she never complained and always had a smile for everyone. When family needed her, you could count on her to show up to help. Much like her late brother P Moore, she loved telling stories; if you were willing to listen she could talk your ear off.
Chritina was a small person and when they met her Kevin’s co-workers nicknamed her “Beanie”. She loved going to Garage Sales with her husband Kevin all summer long. In the winter it was thrift stores in Carman, Winkler and Morden to find her treasures. Camping with nephew George (Rachel) was something she looked forward to all winter. She loved travelling; she travelled with her sisters to various parts of Canada and the United States visiting family.
Christina loved her plants and particularly these last few years, as her disease started taking hold of her body, her 50+ house plants kept her occupied. She would proudly announce that she had purchased another baby (plant). Christina was a collector; her latest collection was giraffes in many forms; stuffed and carved of different sizes, even a blanket. One of her bucket list items was to feed a giraffe which she got to do in Florida.
As a young woman Christina had 3 children from her first marriage to Albert Leblanc: Curtis, Jerome and Chantel. Being able to see and speak to her three children in her last her last hours brought her peace and joy.
