On Thursday, September 19, 2024, Diana Kissick, passed away at Boundary Trails Health Centre at the age of 64 years.
Diana was predeceased by her parents, Bob and Sharon Storey.
Diana will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Roger and their two children - Jayme Lynn (Mitch) Macdonald, Lisa (Dustin) Dreger; brother - Scott (Lori) Storey; grandchildren - Deacon Macdonald, Jenna and Katie Dreger; nephews Ryan and Trevor Storey.
Diana was born on August 18, 1960, in Morden. She grew up on the family farm just north of Miami. Growing up, she enjoyed sports such as figure skating, softball, curling, and ringette. Diana was always an excellent student during her elementary and high school days. During high school is where she started dating and fell in love with Roger. After graduation, she studied nursing at the Grace Hospital. She married Roger in 1981, and they've been inseparable ever since. Diana had a long and rewarding nursing career that spanned 40 years at the Morden General, Winkler Bethel, and Boundary Trails Hospitals. She built many strong relationships during this time and was well respected by her colleagues, patients, and their families. Even though her career was very important to her, family was even more important. She was always very supportive of her kids and cherished their family vacations.
Diana fully retired from nursing in 2019. During her retirement days, she loved visiting with friends, boating, yard work, and of course spending more time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Carman United Church. Private family interment will take place in the Miami Cemetery prior to the service.
