Dianne Myrtle Rubidge, 74, of Pilot Butte, SK (formerly of Strasbourg, SK) passed away on July 12, 2024, in Regina, SK.
Dianne was born in Carman, MB to Milford and Myrtle Young on August 23, 1949. Dianne, along with her two brothers and sister grew up on a farm outside of Miami, MB. Growing up, Dianne was involved with 4H and had an intense love for horses; she would spend many hours preparing and working with her horses to get them ready for showing. She also had a passion for basketball and track-and-field events. Dianne attended high school in Miami, MB, and after graduation moved to Winnipeg where she worked at Eaton’s. On May 24, 1969, Dianne married Dale Rubidge in Miami, MB. For a few years after they married, they lived in Winnipeg, MB until Dale was transferred to Regina, SK where they started their family. After only a few years of residing in Regina, they moved to Strasbourg, SK. In Strasbourg, Dianne and her husband spent many years operating their business D&D Appliance and enjoyed being involved in Strasbourg and surrounding communities. For years Dianne and Dale dedicated their time and efforts helping with many community organizations and events in the Strasbourg area. During this time of her life, Dianne discovered her passions for golf, crafts, dance, fishing, and sports. She would go on to share these passions with her children and grandchildren. In 2022 Dale and Dianne moved to Pilot Butte, SK to be closer to and enjoy more time with their grandchildren.
Dianne is predeceased by Milford and Myrtle Young. In addition to her husband of 55 years, Dale Rubidge, Dianne leaves to cherish her memory to her children Kelly Rubidge (Paula) and Tammy Wilson (Gary); her siblings Ken Young (Bev), Robert Young (Debra), and Beverley Falk (David); her grandchildren Cassandra Wilson, Abigail Wilson, Gracelyn Wilson, and Riley Rubidge; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dianne’s funeral service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Roland, MB on July 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM. The service will be followed by a gathering in Carman, MB. There will also be a Celebration of Life on July 23, 2024, at the Memorial Hall in Strasbourg, SK at 2:00 PM.
