Dylan was born on November 14th, 1999 at Selkirk General Hospital. He was always known for being the quiet one but once he let you in, he was a friend you could always count on. He was loud and funny and the best partner in crime no matter what trouble he managed to get into.
Dylan was a proud big brother to Camryn, whether he was teasing her at home or supporting her love of horses in the last year. He always made her feel special and included her in whatever he was doing.
Dylan worked hard so he could play harder. He surrounded himself with toys, big and small, but he always enjoyed them the most with family and friends. Whether he was helping out with the horses or getting that quad unstuck during a muddy ride, or a snowmobile out of a deep drift, he was there with a smile.
Dylan always had a keen sense of adventure, in his teens, he was a Sea Cadet and was able to travel to Europe for the 100th anniversary of Vimy Ridge. This trip feed his knowledge of the history of the military and could talk about that with anyone for hours.
After graduating from Carman Collegiate, Dylan went on to get his Class 1 Drivers license so that his adventures could continue. As a third-generation truck driver, he loved the open road and driving in the mountains. He got lots of tips and tricks from his dad and grandpa and enjoyed sharing those stories from the road. In his few short years, he explored Saskatoon, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie and finally Rocky Mountain House. Rocky Mountain House was a favorite as he has another set of “grandparents” to visit with, Aunt Judy and Uncle Larry.
Dylan latest passion was cooking, from a hearty breakfast to Banana Bourbon Flambé at midnight – each meal involved making everything from scratch and making sure everyone left the table full, especially his rodeo family.
Dylan, you are gone to soon but we will love you for a lifetime. You will be missed more than you can imagine. There is a huge hole in all our lives without you here.
A private burial will take place in Carman with close friends and family. A come and go celebration of life will be held in the Spring, 2023 at the ranch near Morris. If you are interested in attending, please reach out by email to [email protected], and we will update you once plans are made.
