Edward Lucier
1952 ~ 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Lucier on September 7, 2023 at the age of 71.
Ed was born to Louie and Muriel on April 16, 1952 in Wood Hill, SK. He was the youngest of six children. He grew up on a farm north of Saskatoon and later moved to Thompson, MB where he met his wife, Donna of 36 years and her four children who he took in as his own. In 1979 they had Sherri-Lynn, their first child together. Ed worked many jobs in Northern Manitoba to provide for his family as a bartender, parts salesman, warehouse manager, taxi owner and operator. He was a self taught carpenter and electrician. He used these skills to build a cabin at Setting Lake along with many other renovations and projects. His interest in automotive repair led him to start his own business, Mountain Auto in Morden until he retired in 2017. Ed enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling with his family, sipping Tequila, smoking cigars and walking on the beach in Cuba.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Donna, sons Dwayne (Carol), Greg, Leon (Denise) and daughters Karen and Sherri-Lynn (Derek). His brother Ron, sister Sharon. Grandchildren Sean, Kenny, Kaila, Kyler, Nicole, Collette and Mark Great grandchildren Morgan, Mason, Millie, Madden, Lukas, Lynden and Easton and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Stan and Amos and sister Susan.
