Eldora (Storey) Chally, age 89 of Adams, ND, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Park River Good Samaritan Center.
Eldora was born June 9, 1935, the daughter of the Andrew and Gail Storey of Roseau, MN. The family moved to California around 1940. As a teenager, Eldora worked at JCPenney’s and went to business school for 3 ½ years. She was married to Leslie Chally February 4, 1961 and moved to Adams, ND. She helped with the farm and was president of the Ladies Aide. She also taught Sunday School for many years. She loved crocheting afghans in her spare time.
She is survived by her siblings: Vernon, Myrtle, Virginia, and Janice, all of Fresno, CA; son Douglas and grandson Dylan of Adams, ND; cousin Harlan Grovom; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Lavern; her sisters Audrey and Viola; her husband Leslie; and her daughter Phyllis.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at the East Adams Cemetery. Eldora will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
