Elizabeth Thiessen

Elizabeth Thiessen, age 88, passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 23, 2026, at Salem Home.
Elizabeth married John Thiessen on October 11, 1964.
They resided at Roseile for about 2 years. Then moved to Glenella, where they lived until 2001, and then they moved to Winkler. After some years, they moved to Cedar Estates, and then Mom’s health declined, and she moved to a care home, where she resided till she passed away.
Mom was blessed with eight children, 30 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Mom enjoyed helping Dad in the shop, serving customers. She also enjoyed her big garden, canning, cooking and sewing. Mom homeschooled for many years, and in her spare time, she crocheted, even in the shop between customers. Mom cared for a close friend for five years whose family became our family, which we are still enjoying.
She had a big desire for her Lord and Saviour and wanted all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to follow.
She was predeceased by one son, Cornie, in 2013 and one granddaughter, Abigail, in 2011.
She is survived by her husband John Thiessen, 5 daughters, 2 sons and their families. Elizabeth (David) Stow, Aganetha Darryl) Braun, John (Mary) Thiessen, Margaretha (Darryl) Warkentin, Helena (Paul) Braun, Susanna (William) Heppner, and David Thiessen.
