Frank William Enns
1945 ~ 2023
Frank W. Enns, 78, of Osterwick, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, August 3 2023 with his loving wife Mary by his side.
Frank was born to Frank I. and Elizabeth Enns of Osterwick on May 25 1945. He was baptized upon confession of his faith at the Winkler Bergthaler Church and later transferred to the Bethel Bergthaler Mennonite Church where he remained a member until his passing. Frank and Mary resided in Osterwick for all 57 years of their marriage. They were blessed with 5 children and their families.
Erna & Jake Giesbrecht , son Nathan with Amber and daughter Emma.
Alfred & Roxanna Enns and their children Matthew with wife Joanna and daughter Sophia, Jessica , Melita and Luke Klassen.
Marlene & Robert Joshua
Leroy and Denise Enns
Lorraine and Adrian Hoeppner and daughters Taelynn, Trinity and Olivia
Frank always enjoyed the large family dinners and took great pleasure in having to build larger tables to hold the ever growing family he so loved.
Frank loved his work. While having a few different occupations from farming to construction it was always the people that gave him the greatest joy. His last place of employment was at Winkler Concrete. This place and its amazing crew had a very special place in his heart. His love for his co-workers was obvious whenever he spoke of them. His Winkler Concrete family was ever accommodating and helpful as Franks’ working days were drawing to a close. In every aspect of Frank's life God came first. His Faith in our Lord was obvious and simple. He never wavered and held fast to his faith till he drew his last breath. His walk with God on earth was an example to anyone around him and he never missed a chance to tell others about Jesus.
Frank & Mary were not only husband and wife but best friends. They were there for each other through joy and hardships with their love only growing stronger through the years, showing all those who encountered them what a Godly marriage was. The last 4 years were not easy ones for Frank and Mary. After a difficult diagnosis of cancer, treatments, surgery, and long bouts of feeling unwell, Franks’ faith in God only became stronger. Now while we mourn his passing, we are assured and can take comfort knowing that he is with our Lord, and that one day soon we will be reunited with him.
