Fred Brian Underwood
June 3, 1947- April 25, 2025
The family of Fred Underwood are saddened to announce his passing on April 25, 2025, at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK. surrounded by family.
Fred is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Clarke) and grandchildren Madison and Ben; siblings, Leonard (Willow), Bruce and Clara (Erwin); nieces and nephews, Todd, Meaghan (Mira), Marc (Kelsay), Adrienne (Domenic) and their children.
Fred was predeceased by his parents Jim and Elsie Underwood and by former partner Nancy Easter.
Fred was born on June 3, 1947, in Winnipeg, MB growing up on a farm in the Fannystelle/Elm Creek, MB. area. He attended Webster, a one room school house, till Grade 9 then off to Elm Creek High School.
After high school his first job was with CIBC where he transferred to many locations in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. He also worked for various finance companies eventually making his way to Fort St. John B.C. where he found his last career at Fort Motors. He met Nancy Easter and her daughters Cathy and Sara and their relationship brought his daughter Jennifer into the world. Fred also enjoyed his time with special friend Kathy Howe and her daughter Devlyn. Fred decided to retire in Regina in 2012 to be closer to family.
He was a foodie, an artist and his great wit could bring down the house. He had enjoyed playing sports of all kinds, but when his playing days were over, he enjoyed sports from his favourite recliner. We learned not to make the mistake of calling him on NFL Sundays!
We will miss him immensely.
The family wishes to thank Pasqua medical staff from 4A, MSU, ICU and Palliative Care. Your care of Fred over the last few weeks has been kind and compassionate.
Burial will be in the family plot in the Elm Creek cemetery at a future time.
