In the early morning of September 1st, our much loved husband, Dad and Grandpa passed away surrounded in love. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Judy and his 3 children, Rob (Karen), Mike (Rachelle), and Ang (Marc) Grenier. He will be greeted in Heaven by his grandson Darrin and will remain in the hearts of the grandchildren he leaves behind, Braden, Chad (Jenna), Taylor (Nathan), Shelby (Eric) and Branson. He also leaves to mourn his sisters-in-law Donna (Jim) Moreton, and Maureen Orchard, as well as special niece and nephew, Carolyn and Rick.
He will be reunited with his parents Hub and Mina Orchard and brother Jim.
Grant was born in Miami in the Cottage hospital on Sept. 6th, 1940, and spent his life on the family farm that was established in 1902. Family and farming were his life and he took pride in the generations he worked along side of, from his Grandpa, his Dad, his son, and his grandson. In 2019, Dad and Mom moved to Morden and have enjoyed calling it home ever since.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Berard and the Drs and nurses at Notre Dame Hospital for the excellent, compassionate care they provided. Thanks also to their special neighbors who are always looking out for them, and the support of our family and friends throughout this time.
Celebration of life will be held at the Miami Community Hall on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Grant’s name to the Miami and Area Foundation Box 334 Miami, MB R0G 1H0.
