Harry Hildebrand, of Winkler Manitoba, formerly of Kronsgart, passed away peacefully Monday, August 4, 2025 at Salem Personal Care Home with family by his side.
Harry was the eighth child of the late Bernhard & Margaret Hildebrand. He was predeceased by both parents and parents-in-law, his wife Esther, five brothers, three sisters, three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
He is survived by his son Robert of Winkler, granddaughter Samantha (Henry) Dyck of Roland, great grandchildren Jennifer and Jessica Dyck, grandson Bradley (Jenna) Hildebrand of Gretna; and daughter Colleen (John) Mantler of Winnipeg. He is also survived by his sister Anne (Bill) Fehr, sister-in-laws Evelyn Hildebrand of Ontario, Martie Hildebrand of Alberta and Anne Evans of BC, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the many staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre who cared for dad for seven and a half months, the staff at Carman Memorial Hospital who cared for him for a month and a half and the staff at Salem Home where he spent his last three months and four days.
We would also thank all those who took both mom and dad to various appointments, be it in Winkler or Winnipeg, as well as those that visited dad even when he had a difficult time communicating.
