Helen (Lena) Martens

July 4, 1927 - November 2, 2025
Early Sunday morning, Nov. 2nd, our mom, grandma and great grandma, went to be with Jesus.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry, her parents, Frank and Margaret Hoeppner, siblings Isaac, Kay, and Marge, as well as Henry's parents, Henry H. and
Katherine Martens, sisters-in- law Katie, Mary, and Betty.
She is survived by her children: Marilyn, Ron and Ruth, Robert and Joann, Shirley and Lyle, Gary and Leann, 18 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.
She remembered each of their birthdays and prayed for them daily.
She is also survived by brother Peter and wife Mary, Frank and wife Monique, brother-in-law George and wife Ella, Abe and wife Kathy, sister-in-law Ruth and husband Brian, sister-in-law Helen.
Mom loved Jesus; he was her best friend, Henry being a close second. She passed peacefully, at 98 years of age. She had still lived independently until she entered the hospital on August 25th of this year. She was a stubborn/ determined person. She was kind to everyone she met, and had a beautiful smile for anyone she passed.
We will all miss her very much.
