Not unexpectedly, not suddenly—and yet far too soon—our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister Helena was called home on January 1, 2026, to be with the One in whom she believed and in whom all her hope rested, Jesus.
Helena was born on September 4, 1959, in Russia, the first of six children. She devoted her life to her family, her faith, and serving others.
From a young age, Helena followed the Lord and grew in spiritual wisdom, becoming a great blessing in the church and to all who knew her.
She married Abraham Loewen in 1982 and was blessed with five children. The family later moved to Germany and then in 2008 to Canada. Helena lovingly cared for her husband during his illness until his passing in 2021.
After being diagnosed with cancer in 2022, Helena remained steadfast in faith, accepting God’s will with peace and trust. She passed away at the age of 66.
She is survived by her children: Viktor (Maria), Lina, Anna, Willi, Luisa (Artur) and grandchildren: Emily, Louis, Leah, Luke, Ella, and Lainey, her father and siblings.
With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude, the family remembers the blessed time they were given with Helena.
