He was predeceased by his wife, Debbie Wiebe in 2016; His father, Henry Hiebert in 2015, and his mother, Helen Hiebert in 2004.
Dennis was born on April 24, 1948 in Morden, to Henry and Helen (nee Doell). He was the first of 4 boys. He grew up in Winkler, where he attended school, and was baptized upon confession of his faith at the Bergthaler Mennonite Church.
In the mid ‘80s, Dennis met Debbie, and together they raised 4 children. When we were growing up, dad worked for Canada Post in Winkler and retired from there after 31 years. After he retired, he drove for Piston Ring for a time and enjoyed visiting with the customers that he was delivering parts to. He also enjoyed his campsite at Cooks Campground, spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren, and doing the crossword in the Winnipeg Free Press.
We love and will miss you, dad, but take comfort in knowing that we will see you again.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 2pm at the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church, with reception to follow.
