Jim Brian Huston passed way peacefully December 21, 2024 at the age of 84 at the Carman Memorial Hospital with family by his side. He leaves to mourn his children Valerie & her children Tyler, Kayley (Jim) of Airdrie AB. Wesley (Terra) of Stephenfield, MB & their children Blaine (Morgan) of Gladstone MB and Jared of Stephenfield, MB. Heather (Allan) of Dugald MB and Harve of Carman MB & their children: Cathie (Ryan) of Winnipeg MB, Stacey (Jason) of Winnipeg MB, Glen (Katelyn) of Notre Dame MB, Brad (Veronica) of Smithers BC. He is also survived by Great Grandchildren Brooklyn, Morgan, Linnea, Gunner, Jase, Peyton, Brayden, Ulla, and Oliver. He is also survived by his friend Kathrine, and his siblings Wayne (Judy) of Stephenfield, MB, Sharon of Medicine Hat AB, Brenda of Delta BC and Glen of Stephenfield, MB. Sister and Brother in laws Iona, Bernice, Elmer, and Cheryl & numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Frances Huston, his parents Albert & Mary Huston, his Grandson David, Sister-in-law Molly Huston, and Nephew Craig Major
Jim leaves behind a legacy as a Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and a dear friend to many.
Jim worked for various jobs, including 24 years for the Province of Manitoba at Stephenfield Provincial Park. James spent most of his years living and operating the Family Farm with his Son Wes. He loved working on the farm, and continued to help on the farm as long as he could. Jim loved his family and enjoyed every moment he got to spend with them.
We would like to thank all the staff at the Carman Memorial Hospital and palliative care for their great work in his final days. And all the people that have helped him out in the last little while.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carman Palliative Care.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 28th at 1pm at the Grace St. John’s Anglican Church. A graveside ceremony will follow at Graysville Riverside Cemetery with a lunch to follow at the church.
