John was born in Mexico and moved to Canada in 1952. For many years he worked as a farm laborer and lived in Winkler which is where he met Barb and married July 5th 1968. They made their home in Morden where dad worked as a welder at LKS and went on to other various welding jobs including Versatile. His last ten years of work was at Buhler Industries in Morden.
Dad was an avid fisherman any chance he got to get out there and catch the “BIG ONE” he took it.
Dad and Mom, have 2 sons and 2 daughters. They have 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Dad was predeceased by his parents, in-laws, 3 brothers and one sister.
Dad is survived by his wife Barb, daughter Sylvia, son Ray (Lu) and their family, daughter Arlene (Ron) and their family, and son Tim (Jodi).
We as a family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Heritage Life Personal Care Home in Niverville for showing compassion and care to Dad in his final weeks of life.
A private family viewing and burial will be held.
