Jon Boe was born June 9, 1965 in Park River, ND, the son of Donald and Dorothy (Ellingson) Boe. He grew up and attended school in Adams, graduating from Adams High School. Following his education, he moved to Fargo where he worked for Fargo Glass & Paint Company. He was united in marriage to Michaelene Vetter in 1985. The couple had one son, Max. In 1993, he married Terri Horsley and lived in Mapleton. He then returned to Adams and farmed for a few years. Later, moving back to Mapleton, where he was employed as a manager of Northwest Tire in Grand Forks. He later became employed at American Tire Distributors, in Fargo.
He was a member of the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church and the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling with his friends; and loved all kinds of music. Jon had a gift to make other’s laugh with his stories and jokes. He also had a special kindness to others in need. He helped others even when he appeared to have nothing left; always giving what he could.
Jon is survived by his son, Max (Rheannon) Boe, Springtown, TX and their three daughters: Easton, Ellisyn and Emersyn; step-children: Rebecca Elliot and Dustin Elliot, both of Fargo, ND; 7 step-grandchildren; his parents: Donald and Dorothy Boe, Adams, ND; siblings: Gary (Karen) Boe, Adams, ND and Dawn (Tim) Lundquist, Mahtomedi, MN, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Vang Lutheran Cemetery or West Adams Cemetery.
