She was a woman of strong faith. As a dedicated, life-long member of the Grafton Federated Church, she cherished her church family. She was involved in many church activities and served on the church board numerous times. She also taught Sunday school to both children and adults. Judy was a born caregiver, helping to raise her youngest siblings after the death of their mother, and was always the first to help when one of her friends was in need. Judy enjoyed cooking and hosting holiday and birthday celebrations for her family. She and Robert enjoyed winters on Ft. Myers Beach and other travels. Judy was an accomplished pilot of her Cessna 150 and they made many friends through the Experimental Aircraft Association. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She instilled the love of music in her children and played piano for church services up until her illness.
Judy is survived by her children Steve (Barb) Boone, Elizabeth (Rick) Suda, Beverly Boone and Brenda (Rick) Dusek; Grandchildren: Rebecca Boone, Katie Cheng, Sarah Green, James Boone, Ryan Suda, Lisa Suda, Riley Suda, David Boura, Kayleigh Hagerty, Taylor Opheim, Brad Dusek, Olivia Dusek; 15 great grandchildren; siblings Sharon Grey, Sue Bartholome, Gary (Luz) Jorandby, Ken (Ann) Jorandby and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Myrtle Jorandby; her husband Robert Boone; siblings James Jorandby, Bonnie Hamann and Pamela Jorandby.
Memorial services will be held October 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grafton Federated Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Grafton Federated Church or the Lutheran Sunset Home. The family would like to thank HIA Hospice and staff at the Lutheran Sunset Home for their wonderful care during our mother's illness.
