Kerry E. Johnson was born June 27, 1952, to Howard and Lillian (Hanson) Johnson. She grew up on the family farm in rural Fairdale with her 4 older siblings. Kerry attended grade school in Fairdale and graduated from High School in Edmore, ND. She married Dennis Sullivan and had 3 boys that were her pride and joy, Bret (Cheri), Wade (Kelly), and Jed (Tammy). Kerry had several jobs and interests including school cook, CNA at Home Care, and working for Noridian. Lately, she has enjoyed working on family histories at the Family History Center in Grand Forks.
Kerry was a loving, caring person that LOVED everything. She especially loved her pets, music, and singing and will be remembered for her amazing voice. Wherever she went she would light up the room with her fun personality and laughter and would always tell her nieces and nephews that she was their “greatest aunt”.
Kerry was preceded in death by her parents and sisters-in-law, Hulene Johnson and Susan Johnson. Kerry is survived by her son: Bret (Cheri) Sullivan, Wade (Kelly) Sullivan, and Jed (Tammy) Sullivan; two sisters Bonnie (Ronnie) Loraas, Patricia (David) Fix, her two brothers Howard and Larry Johnson and her grandchildren: Riley, Lucas, Kaitlyn (Erik) Johnson, Rowan, Brayden, Quinn, and Kieran and 1 great granddaughter, Lydia, and many nieces and nephews.
Kerry E. Johnson of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023. Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Silvesta Cemetery, Fairdale, ND with fellowship to follow at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Fairdale.
