Kerry Wilson, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2024, at the age of 49. Born on January 8, 1975, Kerry dedicated his life to serving his community with unwavering passion and kindness. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Keri; his cherished children, Gabrielle Wilson (Natasha), Emma Simmons (Jon), and Brady Wilson; his loving mother, brother, brother in law, two sisters in law, and many nieces and nephews who will deeply miss him. Emma (Jon) is also expecting Kerry’s first granddaughter.
Kerry was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Ernest Wilson; his brother, Kelly Wilson; his niece, Tara Wilson and his dear friend, Albert van Huizen. His absence is profoundly felt by all who knew him.
For 23 years, Kerry worked as a paramedic, dedicating his career to saving lives and supporting his community. As an EMS superintendent, he was a pillar of strength and compassion. His commitment extended beyond his professional life, as he actively contributed to various community activities. Kerry served as a trainer for the AAA and MJHL hockey leagues, provided paramedic services at local car and motocross racetracks, and was a staunch advocate for mental health.
Kerry’s generosity, warmth, and dedication have left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. His legacy of service and his deep love for his family and community will continue to inspire all who knew him.
