Laura L. Selliken, age 102 of Grafton, ND passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Lutheran Sunset Home.
Laura L. Johnson was born November 21, 1920 in Oregon the daughter of the late and Ruby Johnson. She grew up and attended schools and business school there. Laura married Olaf Selliken on January 1 1948 in Oregon. The couple lived there until the fall of 1949 when they moved to Grafton, ND. She owned and operated Prairie Rose Crafts, sold gladiolas and African violets. She later worked at the library and Friendship Inc. until retiring in 2005. She was a member of Grafton Lutheran church.
Laura is survived by her children: Pat (Jan) Bevan, Layfette, OR; Julie Singh, Portland, OR; Lauren (Jean) Selliken, Grand Forks, ND; and Lowell Selliken, Grafton, ND; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters: Nina Harris and Janice Selliken, three grandchildren and two brothers: Jack and Willie.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grafton Lutheran Cemetery.
