Levina Tina Reimer (nee Derksen)
October 18, 1931 – May 17, 2025
It is with deep love and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Levina Reimer on May 17, 2025, at the age of 93.
Levina was born in Winkler, Manitoba, and grew up in the Roseisle area. She married the love of her life, Jacob "Jake" Reimer on August 31,1952, and together they built a family grounded in love and resilience. Levina was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
In her younger years, she was known for her beautiful gardens, a love of flowers, and her many creative talents-including sewing, embroidery, crocheting, and quilting. She was also an exceptional cook whose kitchen was a gathering place for generations. She enjoyed hosting numerous gatherings of family throughout years. Later in life, she found joy in jigsaw puzzles and colouring.
Levina will be lovingly remembered by her children: David (Betty), Linda (Jim), Eileen (Eddy), Laurie (Don), Corwin, Vicki (Devin), and daughter-in-law Ann. She leaves behind a legacy in her grandchildren: Connie (Faron), Travis, Chris, Cheryl (Kent), Trevor, Amanda (Dion), Wayne (Lindsay), Ryan (Brittany), Joe, Rollie (Lissy), Byron, Holly, Trevor, and Zeus; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Dora, Ireen, and Deanna.
Levina was predeceased by her beloved husband Jake, her eldest son Edward "Ed" Reimer, her parents Peter and Katharina Derksen (née Elias), her brothers Peter, John, and infant brother Ernie, her sister Doreen, as well as 5 half siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Carman United Church, with interment to follow at Roseisle Cemetery, she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 21, at 7:00 PM, which will also take place at Carman United Church.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at the St. Claude Care Home for their kindness and care.
