It is with great sadness the family announces that Louise Franzmann (née Murray) passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17th. She was born June 6th, 1963 to Jacques and Thérèse Murray of Fannystelle, Manitoba.
Louise will be sadly missed by her husband, Brian and daughter, Harmony (Brendan Garrard). She will also be missed by her mother, Thérèse Murray (née Girard), her siblings Marc, Robert, Mona (Ward) Forsen, Julie (Steven) Robertson, Brigitte (Cory) Baker, and her in-laws, Robert (Bev) Franzmann and Kathy (Richard) Lavoie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her father, Jacques Murray, sister Joanne, inlaws, Laurie and Grace Franzmann, stepfather, Allan Alford, and nephew, Luke Lavoie.
Louise graduated from Fannystelle Elementary and St. Paul’s Collegiate in Elie, Manitoba. She then moved to Winnipeg to begin working at St. James School Division. After a number of years, she decided to move back home in search of life on the farm and that’s when she fell in love with Brian. Louise and Brian’s happiest day of their life was the day they adopted Harmony.
Louise will always be remembered for her love of family, her generous heart and her various passions for farming, fishing, sports, animals, gardening and baking. From a young age, she was always so independent, a jack of all trades and not afraid to conquer new things, including in her teens putting on a carpenters belt and building a playhouse in the backyard with scraps of wood her dad gave her. When she became a mom, she homeschooled Harmony for numerous years, coached her ringette team and was her number one cheerleader in supporting her in anything she wanted to do. She was amazing, talented, and truly one of a kind.
Louise had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She was goofy and loved to have fun and enjoy life. She had a way of making people feel so special and included without any judgement whatsoever. She would always think of others before herself. She was never selfish, but forever generous, ever so caring, and deeply thoughtful. She made a difference and touched so many peoples’ lives.
We love and miss you so very much Louise, but we find comfort in knowing that you are resting in Christ’s love and reunited with your loved ones in heaven.
The family wishes to thank everyone that was there for Louise on her difficult journey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carman Boyne Lodge or to a mental health organization of your choice.
A private family graveside service and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
