Mallory was full of life and laughter. She wore her heart on her sleeve. She loved and cared for her brother MJ. (Marlin DeMarce Jr.)
Mallory Jae, the precious daughter of Marlyn DeMarce Sr. and Ann McKay, was born on October 22, 2001 in Devils Lake, ND. She attended Four Winds High School and Warwick Public School and obtained her GED at the Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps Center in Minot, ND. Mallory was also passionate about learning and had taken several classes at Cankdeska Cikana Community College in Fort Totten.
During her life, Mallory worked at the Spirit Lake Casino and also at Walmart in Grand Forks. Despite her young age, she already possessed a strong work ethic.
Mallory had an immense love for spending time with family and friends. She cherished playing video games with her loved ones and enjoyed engaging conversations over the phone. Mallory found peace by the lake and on the basketball court. She found solace in reading books, cruising, watching TikToks, capturing memories through photography, and riding her skateboard. Mallory was an avid supporter of the LA Lakers basketball team and shared countless enjoyable moments watching games with those around her.
Mallory will always be remembered as a beautiful soul who left this earthly life much too soon. Her absence will be deeply felt by all those who had the opportunity to know and love her.
Mallory leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories in the hearts of her parents Marlyn DeMarce Sr. and Ann McKay, along with her siblings Marlene DeMarce, Steven DeMarce, William Black Jr., Danae Black, Rabecca Black, Dalton (Rena) Black, Haley Black, and Marlin DeMarce Jr. She also held a special place in the heart of Lyndon Greybear, a cherished friend. Mallory's special nephew Caius DeMarce brought great joy to her life.
Mallory is survived by her uncles Marshall (Dierdre) DeMarce, Andy (Tammie) DeMarce Jr., Preston (Marge) DeMarce and Carl (Mandi) McKay Jr., as well as her aunts Lori McKay and Marnie (Joseph) Lawrence. She is also survived by her grandmother Joyce Greene.
Mallory had a special affection for her furry friends. She showered them with love and treated them as valuable family members. Her guinea pigs, Gerald and Milo, and bunnies, Appa and Kong, will forever hold a place in her heart.
Mallory is now reunited with her grandparents Carl McKay Sr., Andrew Sr., and Lillian DeMarce, as well as her brother Delray Don DeMarce, along with several dear cousins and friends who have gone before her.
Pallbearers will be Brady Greybear, Chance Archambault, Cole Archambault, Carl McKay Jr., Daunte Azure, Will Chaske Jr., Craig Sorrel, Marchall DeMarce, Jr. and Sonny DeMarce.
Honorary Bearers will be Lacey and Larissa McKay, Imogene Belgarde, Arlene Belgarde, Audrey Belgarde, Maria Alberts, Ila McKay, Rena Ramon, Ilana Greybear, Anferny Black, Donnie Edwards, Mandi Owlboy, Andrea Owlboy, Mary Bullhead, Dagny Black, Brianna Littlewind and Tamara Belgarde.
There will be a Wake for Mallory at St. Michael's Wellness Center on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael will leave at 4:00 p.m. om Tuesday from City Plaza, Devils Lake.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Wellness Center with Reverend Paul Schuster officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
