Obituary for Maria Hofer
February 1956 ~ December 2025
After a hard fought battle with cancer, Maria peacefully passed away on Dec 13, 2025 to be with her beloved Saviour, Jesus Christ, at the age of 69.
Maria is survived by her four daughters: Eve (Peter) Bokouzis and their son Lukas; Suzanne Klassen and her daughters Cora, Guinevere, and Ivy; Maryanne (Henry) Giesbrecht and their sons Kadyn and Asher; Tilly (Willy) Froese and their sons Tyson and Liam. She is also survived by her great granddaughter Scarlett, extended family and many friends that felt like family.
She is predeceased by her parents Katharina and Peter T. Fehr, her brothers Peter Fehr and John Fehr; her sisters Tina Fehr, Helen Peters, and Susanna Fehr.
Maria fiercely loved her friends and family. She had a strong faith and would share it with others at every opportunity. Some of her fondest memories was being a part of a Bible Study with some of her closest friends and family. She took great joy in spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She will be dearly missed by all who truly knew her.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Boundary Trails Health Centre who helped make her final days as comfortable as possible, and Wiebe Funeral Homes Ltd for taking care of the arrangements.
