On Saturday, October 11th, 2025 at Salem Home Maria “Mary” Penner (nee Thiessen) aged 94 of Winkler, Manitoba, formerly of Morden, Manitoba went to her eternal rest.
She leaves to mourn her passing four daughters; Tina & Abe Giesbrecht of Winkler, Mary & Les Wieler of RM of Stanley, Susan Shewchuk of Calgary, AB, Judy & Jake Harms of Winkler and six sons; John & Betty Penner of Winkler, Jake & Martha Penner, Martin Penner, Pete & Barb Penner, Neil & Sara Penner, Dave Penner, all of Morden, Manitoba. She also leaves to mourn 27 grandchildren, their spouses, 55 great grandchildren and one great great child.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Jacob Penner, one grandson, Dallas Wieler, her parents, Diedrich & Susanna Thiessen, thirteen siblings & their spouses.
The Funeral Service for Maria Penner will be held at 2:00pm on Friday October 17th, 2025 at the Morden Sommerfeld Church with Pastor Art Wiebe officiating. Interment to follow the service at Hillside Cemetery in Morden.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The BTHC Foundation designated: Palliative Care.
