Mark Alan Gallaway was born September 11, 1971 in Port Angeles, WA to the late Kenneth Gallaway and Edith (McKay Gallaway) Einarson. He spent his early years in Port Angeles. His family moved to Grafton and he attended Grafton Public Schools. After his education, he began working for local farmers. Mark met Tara Arens in 1990 and they had three wonderful children together; Alyssa, Austin, and Riley. Mark loved his children and was incredibly proud of them.
Mark was an amazing story teller who was only a stranger to you once, then your friend. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brothers. He loved his country cruises and listening to his old country music. He was the comedian of the family and we will miss the endless laughs we all had when we were around him as well as his kindness and compassion for everyone he met.
Mark is survived by his children: Alyssa (Tanner) Romfo, Langdon, ND, Austin (Taylor Benneweis) Arens, Langdon, ND, and Riley (Kaitlyn) Arens, Edmore, ND; grandchildren: Kendra, Marah, Hudson, Armond, Winnie, Lincoln, and Crew; siblings: David (Janie) Gallaway, Petersburg, ND, Daniel (Donna) Gallaway, Drayton, ND, Deb (Lloyd) Einarson, Edinburg, ND, Dennis (Elaine) Gallaway, Grafton, ND, Dawayne (Terri) Gallaway, Kennedy, MN, Darrell (Felicia) Gallaway, Helma, MN, Denise Pritchett, Grafton, ND, Darlene (Butch) Allum, Port Townsend, WA, Diana (D.J.) Hartje, Kilkenny, MN, and Cathy Fulton, Port Townsend, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Srnsky, niece Courtney Fulton, infant nephew, and nephew Gregory Gallaway.
Memorial services will be on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.at Apostolic Faith Church in Grafton, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at Vang Cemetery of rural Walhalla, ND.
