Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep, with family at her side at the Boyne Lodge in Carman on January 23, 2025, at the age of 101 years 4 months and 10 days.
Mom will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, Brian (JoAnne) Born, Barbara (Rodney) Schroeder, Stanley (Martha) Born; six grandchildren, Robyn (Michel) Pryce, Jason (Nancy) Born, Cameron Born, Andrew Born (Michelle Zyla), Tammy (Nolan) Tutkaluk, Connie (Derek) Dyck; great grandchildren, Matthew Pryce, Atticus and Axel Born, Hartley Born, Xander, Xavier, Xaryn Dyck, and Austin Tutkaluk.
Mom is survived by sisters, Susan Dick, and Gertrude (Stan) Hiebert, sister-in-law Olga Dyck and brother-in-law Walter Born, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Abram (Abe) Born, and her parents Jacob H. I. (Annie Unrau) Dyck.
The family would like to thank the Boyne Lodge staff for all the care and compassion that they gave to Mom during her residence there. A special thank you to Pastor Bob Pauls for the many years of spiritual care given to Mom.
