Mary Klassen (nee Wiebe) of Winkler, Manitoba passed away peacefully November 4, 2024 at Salem Home at the age of 78 with family by her side.
Mary was born November 9, 1945 to Aron and Helen Wiebe in the RM of Rhineland in her grandparents’ house. She was baptized upon the confession of her faith May 17, 1963. Mom married Jake Klassen the love of her life on May 9, 1965. They would have celebrated 60 years this coming May. They were blessed with 3 sons and 2 daughters. She was a loving and praying wife, mother, grandmother, great mother and friend to many.
She is survived by her loving husband Jake Klassen of 59 years, children Dan (Wilma), Dorothy (Rick), Darlene (James), Darrel (Tammy), Garry (Chris). Grandchildren and great grandchildren Jerome (Marlene) Taylor, Karson, Regan; Zachary (Victoria); Jaylene (Joshua), Theodore, Alethea, Arial; Zipporah; Daphne (Tyler) Luke, Gabriella; Heidi, Emily (Elias), Carter. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, two brothers and by one grandson Tyler.
We as a family would like to express our appreciation for the compassionate care given to our Mom in the past few years by staff of Homecare, Boundary Trails Hospital, Swan Lake Memorial Hospital, and Salem Home. We also want to say thank you for all the support through prayer, many visitations, food and kind words shared with us during this difficult time.
