August 28, 1963 - December 17, 2025
Michael Joseph Waldner was born in Neepawa, Manitoba on August 28, 1963 to Joseph and Maria Waldner. Dad grew up on Parkview Colony with 13 other siblings. He met mom at Crystal Springs Colony and on October 16 1988, dad married mom (Lydia Kleinsasser) and they had 6 children together.
On August 11th, 2007, dad moved with his family to Winkler, Manitoba. Shortly after moving they started attending the Pembina Valley Baptist Church. Dad for many years worked as an electrician, and then after his knee surgeries, he started trucking as well as piloting as his health would allow. Although dad would struggle with many health issues, he would always find comfort and encouragement in spending time with his 19 grandkids. They were the center of his world and whenever you saw dad he would have one or two bouncing on his lap.
Dad had a very dry sense of humor complete with his signature sarcastic grunt after any joke. If you spent any amount of time with dad, you would know what we are talking about.
Dad got saved as a young man while listening to a radio program. He came to the realization that he was a lost man and that Jesus died on the cross for his sins. He accepted Jesus as his personal savior that day.
Dad was predeceased by his mom, dad, and brother Danny. He leaves to mourn his wife (Lydia), six children Adrian (Danielle), Caleb (Rebecca), Theron (Marcey), Rachael (Jaydon), Anita (Willie), and Kyle (Leonie), and his 19 beautiful grandchildren.
We love you dad.
