Phyllis Ann Curtin was born November 14, 1938 in Minto, ND to Cosmer and Amelianna (Gerszewski) Curtin. She grew up on a farm near Ardoch, ND and graduated from Grafton High School. She married Eugene Campbell on May 20, 1958 in Grafton, ND. Phyllis worked as a telephone operator at Northwestern Bell for over 20 years. She was a secretary at Westview Elementary School and a Teacher Technician at the Grafton Developmental Center until her retirement in 2002.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and Altar Society, the Grafton American Legion Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children: Jacqueline (John) Rheault, Fargo, ND; Christopher (Tanya) Campbell, Lacey, WA; grandchildren: Dakota (Jacob Miller) Campbell, Lacey, WA; Ryley (Maddie Welch) Campbell, Seattle, WA; Travis (Lauren) Rheault, Lincoln, ND; Chandler Rheault, Detroit Lakes, MN; great granddaughter, Noemi of Lacey, WA; sister, Maxine Collette, Palm Desert, CA; brothers: Timothy (Carol) Curtin, Centennial, CO and Richard (Sydney) Curtin, Woodbridge, CA; brother-in-law, Jon Hills, Grafton, ND along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters: Lisa Campbell and Roberta Siegler, son-in-law, Leslie Siegler, brothers-in-law; Edgar Collette and Michael Sink; sisters-in-law; Veronica Hills and Betty Ann Sink.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 19, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Grafton, ND. The funeral service will be live streamed on Phyllis’s obituary page on the Tollefson Funeral Home Website.
