Rae Marie Fuchs 1936-2024
Our mother passed away on July 13 at the Boyne Lodge in Carman Manitoba. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Vic Fuchs. She will be dearly missed by her children; Cheryl (Kelvin Dyck), Bob (Connie Fuchs), Vicki (Bruce McLachlan), Tanis (Stu Pendree) and 9 grandchildren. Rae had 9 great grandchildren.
Her family meant the world to her as staff at the Boyne Lodge heard on a very regular basis since 2018. We are grateful for the loving care she received from them. Mom’s witty, sassy personality was enjoyed by many. She was born in Bannerman Manitoba, married Vic in 1955 then lived on the farm in Cartwright Manitoba. After a brief period living in Winnipeg, they moved to Carman where she has resided since 1966 and where she and Dad raised their family. After Vic passed away in 1996 Rae continued employment at Stevens Drugstore where she worked for many years. After retiring she became known by many as Mrs Walker given much of her time was spent walking the streets of Carman, so much so that she was seen on Google Maps. Rae was a loving mother and a close friend to many over the years.
There will be no formal funeral as per her wishes. Interment will be in the Cartwright Cemetery at a later late.
