Raymond was born in Northwood, ND to Cecil and Vivian (Lindstrom) Styles on July 17, 1942. He grew up in Walhalla and attended Catholic school until 6th grade and public school until 8th grade. Raymond joined the U.S. Army in 1967. He served in the Vietnam War and was discharged in 1969.
Raymond married the love of his life Myrna Dearinger on September 20, 1969.
Raymond was employed at Motor Coach Industries from 1969 until 2005.
Together, Raymond and Myrna had 6 children, Raymond Jr., Jeremy, Bill, Scott, Cheri, and Karen. He worked as a carpenter for Oscar Diemert and Henry Wirtz and as a painter for Louie Braget. Raymond enjoyed painting, fishing, wood carving, diamond art and he was an avid motorcyclist from the age of 16 until his death.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna; children: Raymond Styles Jr. (Maggie Garcia) Crookston, MN, Jeremy and Denise Styles, Thief River Falls, MN, Bill and Angie Styles, Walhalla, ND, Scott Styles, Thief River Falls, MN, Cheri Kalis (Dustin Nelson), Walhalla, ND, and Karen (Chuck) Hartl, Cando, ND; grandchildren: Madison, Colten (Esperanza), Brittan, Dylan (Samantha), Shawnee (Austin), Marcus (Jerica), Shyla, Kayla, Dalton, Bill Jr., Jazzy, Lexi, Sophie, Michael, Natasha (Wyatt), Ethan, Preston, Max, Jayden, Matthew, Andria, Jennifer, Erin, Ryan, Justin, and Derek; great-grandchildren: Landon, Kaylee, Jeslynn, Hannah, Hailee, Daisy, Clair, Kash, Kerison, Kai, Camryn, Olivia, Chase and RaeLynn; sister, Linda Madisen, Bismarck, ND and his fur baby, Chloe.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; brother Robert Beauchamp; numerous aunts and uncles; father-in-law Alvin Dearinger; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and numerous fur babies.
