Richard A. Gerszewski, age 83 of Minto, ND passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his home near Minto.
Richard A. Gerszewski was born April 3, 1939 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of the late Richard Gerszewski and Elizabeth (Ebertowski) Kosmatka. He grew up in Warsaw and attended school in Warsaw and the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, MN. He returned to Warsaw and started farming and working for American Crystal. Richard was united in marriage to Carol Schneider on September 11, 1962. The couple made their home in the Warsaw area where they raised their family.
He was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw, ND, a member of the P.N.A, served on the Pulaski Township board and served on the Warsaw Hall board. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting.
Richard is survived by his wife, Carol Gerszewski, Minto, ND; children: Roberta Narlock, Grand Forks, ND; Glenn (Shari) Gerszewski, Kulm, ND; David Gerszewski, Minto, ND; John (Jackie) Gerszewski, Frazee, MN; Dale (Anne) Gerszewski, Warsaw, ND; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; brothers: Lawrence (Elaine) Gerszewski, Grand Forks, ND; Marvin Kosmatka, Warsaw, ND; and his faithful companion, Otis. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Gerszewski, mother and stepfather, Elizabeth and Edwin Kosmatka and sister, Sharon Kosmatka.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw, ND. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to your favorite charity of choice.
