Rolande Lehmann of Carman Manitoba passed peacefully surrounded by family on March 3rd 2024 at Carman Memorial Hospital.
Rolande was born on June 5th 1936 to Thuribe and Marguerite Perreault of Haywood Manitoba.
As a young woman Rolande worked in Montreal as a nanny, often sharing memories of the lovely Italian family she lived with.
Later Rolande returned to Manitoba to assist in the care of her father Thuribe. The Sisters Of Service in Winnipeg became home for Rolande, building friendships and spreading joy to others at the St. Boniface Hospital. Rolande was able to be closer to family and give Mark Lehmann the opportunity to pursue her for marriage.
Rolande married Mark Lehmann on Jan 26, 1963 and began a family immediately with Marco, Doris, Maxine, and Marcel who came ten years later.
Rolande was active in the community with the Dufferin Ladies Club, and later in her years worked at Rainbow Residence. The care and love for the residence went above and beyond all.
After the loss of her husband Mark, Rolande moved to Carman Mb. River View Legion Place became a home of friendly smiles that surrounded her. Her apartment became a home to baby sit grandchildren and be a center hub of hospitality and love. Grandchildren often had late night sleepovers and ice-cream was always plentiful.
Rolande, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, will be greatly missed. Her Christian faith is the strongest attribute she has passed on to family and friends. Her faith in God is so pure, Rolande is always with us and now enjoying the rewards of heaven.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Carman, MB.
