It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katherine Ruth Halloran on September 25, 2024. Born on May 2, 1954, Ruth grew up amongst family and friends in the village of Hochfeld. She spent most of her adult life in Winkler, where her deep faith and trust in God as a devoted Christian shaped her life and the lives of those around her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jack, and her four children, Erin, Robert, Brandon, and Jennifer.
Katherine, lovingly known as Ruth, was previously married to Ernie Friesen, who passed away in 2002. She later found love and companionship again with Jack, who stood faithfully by her side through the remainder of her life’s journey. She faced countless challenges with courage and grace, embodying the qualities of a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Ruth's warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, and her strength inspired those around her.
Her legacy lives on through her loving family and the countless lives she influenced throughout her life. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
