Sharon S. Johnson, age 81 of Grafton, North Dakota, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.
Sharon S. West was born November 28, 1942 in Gretna, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of the late Fred and Jean (O’Hara) West. She attended school in Grafton. Sharon was united in marriage to Peter Johnson on July 2, 1961 in Grafton, ND. The couple made their home in Grafton. Sharon worked at the Grafton Developmental Center until she retired due to her health.
She was a member of the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Grafton. She loved being with her children and grandchildren. She loved to take care of people especially hosting big get togethers. She enjoyed baking, cooking and collecting porcelain dolls.
Sharon is survived by her children: Sue (Dave) Fellman, Grafton, ND; Duane Johnson, Grafton, ND; Patricia (Shawn) Gerszewski, Minto, ND; grandchildren: Duane, Jr., Amber, Chad, Ashley, Genevieve, Conner, Carrie, Josef and Nicholas; great grandchildren: Nicole, Wes, Julia and Stella; siblings: Geri “Maggie” Didier, Woodward, OK; Linda (Dennis) Votava, Fargo, ND; Gale Johnson, Grand Forks, ND; Lou (Hilary) West, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Peter, daughter Donna Rae, son Gary, daughter-in-law Janice Johnson, grandsons: Ronnie and Justin and siblings: Larry O’Hara, Alice Olson, Mort West and Richard West.
Visitation will be Monday, November 18, 2024 from 5:30 – 6:30 P.M. with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Inurnment will be at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Svold, North Dakota.
