After a lengthy hospital stay Sheldon passed away at the age of 58, on August 14, 2025
Sheldon was born on August 12,1967 in Altona to Nick and Marina Peters. Sheldon is survived by his sister Tanya (Robert) and niece, Kylie, he was predeceased by his parents Nick and Marina Peters.
Sheldon lived in Winkler for the last 26 years, and over that time worked at Keystone Grain, Grandeur Housing and volunteered at Gospel Echos Thrift Store. Anyone who knew Sheldon knew that he loved to socialize and his favorite place to do that was at Tim Horton’s. In years past you would often see Sheldon riding his bike through WInkler often stopping in at various places to say hi. He loved to watch the Winkler Flyers and volunteered with them for many years and even after he couldn’t do that anymore he would still get his season pass so that he could be sure to attend every home game.
