1953 - 2021
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we share the passing of our beloved Mother, Sister and friend Silver.
She passed away much too soon Thursday February 25, 2021 at Tabor Home Morden, MB at the age of 67 due to health complications that sadly worsened over the last few years.
Born to Ben and Helen Klippenstein on August 6, 1953, Sylvia Jean had seven older brothers. She was the eighth child, and the only girl in the family. She grew up on the family farm at Darlingford, Manitoba. She was always a free spirit, and along with her brother Wilf, enjoyed the carefree years, playing with a myriad of pets; dogs, cats, horses, budgies and hamsters, roaming their own little heaven on earth. She attended Darlingford School and Nellie McClung Collegiate. Silver worked a variety of jobs including Telephone Operator for MTS in Morden, the Morden Sewing Factory, Custodian at Maple Leaf School in Morden, Sales Representative at Sooters Photography in Winnipeg, and Grocery Clerk at the Manitou Co-op. Silver was a creative and inspiring enigma. A beautiful woman who carried herself with dignity and style. Someone who you could picture as a queen. You could not be in a room with her without feeling her presence. She loved playing baseball and going to socials where she was always the life of the party. She had a passion for music and a green thumb. Her favourite flowers were roses and lilacs. She enjoyed crocheting and made beautiful blankets for all of the kids. She loved reading and also wrote many of her own stories and poems. She had an electric personality and a fantastic sense of humour.
Silver was the Mother of Paul Foster, Ashli Foster (Roberts) and Nyx Savage. She was Grandma to Ashli's five children. Silver was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Robert, Dale, Dennis and Bryan and sister-in-law, Shirley. She leaves to mourn her passing her son, Paul, daughters, Ashli and Nyx, grandchildren, Elliot, Chloë, Hayden, Harlow and Fiona Roberts, brothers, Stan and his wife, Marion, Ed and his wife, Bev, Dale's wife, Diane and Wilf and his wife, Hailyn. She has been blessed with 17 nieces and nephews and their families, some of whom have never met Silver, but will learn about all their many everlasting memories and stories about their amazing Auntie. Silver will be loved forever and will always be in our hearts.
The family held a private burial at the Darlingford Cemetery on Monday March 1, 2021 but look forward to celebrating Silver's life with family and friends at a later date.
