Terry was born on July 29, 1941 in Carman, MB. Growing up, he lived in the Kilmory and Forrest Districts. He attended school at Forrest and high school in Carman where he met Phyllis Wood. The two were married in 1965 and moved to farm at Arden and later to Gladstone in1974.
Terry and Phyllis welcomed into the world their daughter, Laurie, in 1969 and their son, Bill, in 1975. Through the years, Terry got involved in baseball, curling and golf. He also did a stint as a volunteer ambulance driver.
Terry farmed for several decades. After his farm years, he did seasonal work at the Gladstone Golf Course and then for the Neepawa-Gladstone Co-op.
The day Terry became a grandfather, a whole new world opened up for him. He made sure to spend every day he could with his granddaughters, Olivia (Livy) and Andrea (Little One). Nothing gave him greater joy than spending time with his family.
Living with emphysema was Terry’s greatest challenge. However, he faced each day with grace and determination to see through to the next day.
