December 30, 1938 - May 18, 2026
Waldemar “Wally” Ens, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on December 30, 1938, in Nikolaipol, Ukraine, Wally lived a life defined by quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved.
Wally was predeceased by his parents, Waldemar and Anna, and by his brothers, Jacob and Erwin. He is survived by his sister, Anita, who held a special place in his heart.
He was a proud father to Tracy (Allen), Melanie (Brian), Mark (Tania), and Robert (Kim), and a cherished grandfather to Braeden, Katelin, Kinsey, Jessica, Corey, Siera, Kirk, Mathew, and Bailee. He was also a proud great grandfather to Teddy and Arya, who brought him immense joy in his later years.
Wally was known for his strong work ethic, his integrity, and his readiness to help anyone in need. He had a lifelong love of fitness—enjoying biking, walking, and golf—and he took great pride in tending to his yard and garden, where he found peace and purpose in the simple rhythms of nature.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private celebration of Wally’s life will be held on May 26, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Boundary Trails Cancer Care Unit in his memory.
